The fee depends on how long you want Xbox Live. If you live in the US it's $20 for 3 months and $50 for a year, unless you come across a deal.

Month to month fee is around $10. Sometimes there are offers on the dashboard for a month for as low as $1 (but requires auto-renewal at reg price). Better to watch the deal sites for a good price on a year membership ($20-35) or go in with family or friends on a family membership (up to 4 accts/1 year/$100).

Last i heard they were only doing an annual subscription so i guess things have changed. Checked it out on the Xbox live site and turns out they do provide a flexible monthly subscription. Does anyone know if that is available for someone in the US or just European countries?

Like an idiot I always buy the 3 months xbox live membership for about £15. Every time I get it I think, "oh well I might not be playing xbox in 3 months time", I've been doing this for about 4 years now lol. Could have saved so much money...

buy it for a year, its cheaper, and gives you a reason to play everyday
