I am pretty sure when you send a friend request now it will automatically determine if the GamerTag you're trying to reach has spaces or not.

I hate when people use methods of writing their names and you can't write them. Google up those codes for every letter you don't know.

You use the Y button to space? So try that or use an underscore like this_.

Do what the other person suggested and just ask them to add you first. Otherwise you will struggle.
