Yeah, Skype is the best way to go, if you have credits.

And, though others are trying to say what a big hassle customer service is, from my own experience i have found the opposite to be true. Customer service is NOT a complaints department so if you have a big issue with your account or even want to cancel the Xbox 360 subscription, they should be happy to help if you call. Speaking for anyone who has such a subscription. LOL!

I've dealt with many customer service agents over the telephone and it's never a problem. They are usually happy to accomodate if only cause their boss might be listening in.

Also, another thing, there could be real security issues at stake and that's why you have to call to cancel. Maybe the company is worried someone could hack your email and then access your account online and forfeit you out of your money by unjustly canceling your paid subscription. Thus a phone call for verification is necessary. I don't know, just speculating on the topic of canceling an Xbox subscription
