It's pretty damn solid for a free roaming game. The action is crazy and the game doesn't take itself seriously at all. You'll have a ton of fun with it. Definitely worth shelling out the dough.

I haven't got it yet but I am thinking about it. I downloaded the demo but it was only where you can create your character. You didn't get to actually play online or single player with the demo. Is it worth getting? How about the story?

Re: Saints Row 3
I have Professor Genki's Hyper-Ordinary Pre-order pack, and I must say it is alot of fun. Saints Row the Third has basically no limits. Want to jump off of a helicopter into a pent-house? First hour of gameplay. Want to kill people? First minute of gameplay. Want to see people dressing up as theirselves with bobblehead costumes? First second of gameplay.
Then add from the pre-order pack: A mind-controlling, explosive octupi gun, a man-a-pult car, and a jumpsuit styled to make you look like a cat. A CAT. The possiblities in Saints Row 3 are endless; and that is what makes it great.

Re: Saints Row 3
How much did the pre-order pack cost you? It sounds like it would be a lot of fun, especially the mind-controlling gun. What all can you do with that weapon? Does it allow you to play as the person your controlling or what?

Re: Saints Row 3
I haven't really played a single game from the series, have heard a lot of good stuff about Saints Row 3, but after I saw the trailer, I don't know, it didn't quite make me actually go out and buy it off the shelf.

Re: Saints Row 3
The octpi gun basically turns enemies into allies, you don't get to play as them but you can control an unlimited amount of people. To get the pre-order pack, you had to do exactly what it said, pre-ordering the game resulted in a new case and a code to redeem.
You can probably buy the code from eBay. It may seem expensive paying around $5 for a code, but it's worth it. I also have a add-on which costs 240 microsoft points - it adds a new weapon called the Shark-O-Matic. It's a shotgun which shoots fish guts. Anyone who is hit has a shark summoned onto them, who smashes through the ground from the sewers, eating the victim.Last edited by HardMyDisk; 12-11-2011 at 01:29 PM.
