Re: What is a turtle in SC2?
They probably meant slow people as in slow builders, slow attackers, etc.

Re: What is a turtle in SC2?
Hi JediNight,
The word "turtle" used in SC2 is referring to someone is for E.g: He is behind after a failed rush or having lost too many workers, decided to do a all defensive strategy and setups a defensive stance towards the opponent and waits for the opponent to attack.
In this way, he will have a better chance of catching up his opponent or either by slowing down his economy, hope this helps.
Cheers

Re: What is a turtle in SC2?
Turtle means very defensive play.
A good example of this is Terrans. Usually you might find Terrans sitting on two bases and have many tanks, bunkers and turrents up. This is what you call turtling. It is usually VERY VERY difficult to break into defense like this one. So some people get mad and call you a 'turtle'. This is an actual strategy for terran though, to max out on two bases and then push out as a huge army that is very hard to stop.

Re: What is a turtle in SC2?
Turtle means to play a very defensive style.
Usually used with Terran, very rarely with Zerg as they need to have many bases to play effectively.
