3 Starcraft II Multiplayer Tips
I found these 3 Starcraft 2 online multiplayer tips. They might help someone:
- Build up the beginning stages of your base at your choke point. This can be a very good defense in the early stages of the game. The way to do this is to build your supply structure (such as supply depot or pylon) at the choke point of your base as well as your basic infantry structure. With the Terrans you can completely shut off the choke point by using your supply depots. Since they can sink into the ground to allow your ground units to pass by, there is no reason to leave it open. For the Protoss you can't shut it off the same way, but you can limit the amount of space to allow the enemy through so that it will at least slow them down. The StarCraft 2 multiplayer guide will show you the best way to defense against the initial flood of enemies and defend your choke point.
- Micro Management. I can not stress enough how important micro management is. There are a lot of abilities in the game that your troops will have that you must activate yourself. For instance, as the Protoss the sentry unit has an ability called guardian shield. This will reduce ranged damage taken for all units within the sphere. It can drastically cut down the casualties that your army suffers. There are other abilities that can be used offensively to destroy your enemy also. The StarCraft 2 multiplayer guide taught me the best micro management techniques that I will continue to use throughout my StarCraft 2 game play, as well as other real time strategy games.
- Learn how to rush and defend against rushes with any race. There are obviously a lot of ways to rush against your opponent with any race. Naturally there are some rush strategies that are going to be much more powerful than others. A StarCraft 2 multiplayer guide will outline the best ways to rush any race and what ways to counter the rush strategies that they may use against you.

Re: 3 Starcraft II Multiplayer Tips
I don't like building at my choke point. I like a more organized structure and the choke point forces everything into a small area.

Re: 3 Starcraft II Multiplayer Tips
Yeah, I prefer being organized and placing things where I prefer having them instead of going with what others do. I also would rather not even try rushing since it's no fun that way in my opinion, wonder how many people follow these tips, if a lot then that must mean many players play the same way.

Re: 3 Starcraft II Multiplayer Tips
The number 2 tip is just general which is learned with experience. #1 tip is lame.

Re: 3 Starcraft II Multiplayer Tips
Your learn number 3 by experience too. If people keep rushing you, naturally you learn how to defend against that.
My tip is:
Built a ton of workers (drones, SCV, etc) and collect as much money as possible as quickly as possible. A stable economy will allow you to build faster and rebuild when forces are destroyed.Automated Ad: I will make 10 posts (inc. 3 topics) on your forum for $3

Re: 3 Starcraft II Multiplayer Tips
Me and Jordan found a pretty good way to defend against rushers a few times, I focused on getting everything ready to create my attacking force while he defended me. Of course I send troops to back up his forces as well but i focused on getting my main force ready for an assault and yes we did lose a few times to those that are just flat out annoying or when our plan didn't go well.
