What's your favorite skill to train in Runescape?
I like training melee, though it's not really a skill.
Though I am getting more into fletching which is super easy and can earn money with higher levels.

Re: What's your favorite skill to train in Runescape?
Recently, a friend of mine went dungeoneering with me and he insisted on mining and fishing while in the dungeons. At first i was confused as to why he would do that and he explained that he earned extra XP for training skills in the dungeons. Apparently it doesn't apply to mage or melee training.

Can someone point out to me what are most useful skills... I am not into this game really, but I want to start playing.

Re: What's your favorite skill to train in Runescape?
That would be awesome actually. If you join, let me know so i can add you as friend in game and i will get you equipped with everything you need, armor, weapons, equipment for skilling, etc.
As for skills, it all depends on what you like. For me, i love combat, so i almost exclusively train melee (attack/defense/strength) and that works well in combat games like clan wars (a free for all style mini-game in Runescape), duel arena and wilderness (where you can actually lose everything on you if you lose the battle).
If you would prefer a more passive skill, you might try fishing, which basically consists of equipping a net or fishing pole and clicking on the right spot in the water. As you fish more, your level advances and around level 80 you can fish sharks and sell them for around 2k each and earn a significant sum of money in game.
It's time consuming and takes many hours though so you might not enjoy. Woodcutting is another useful skill, though again, you need to be around level 65 or above to really earn money in game from the skill.
Other skills include fletching which is super easy. Firemaking and cooking are fun. The best part about cooking is coming up with unique concoctions such as pineapple pizza.
Magic is another fun skill to train, though very expensive as it requires many many runes to train. You can shortcut the process by high alching or teleporting. But really that's not as much fun as training mage in combat. Though your combat level doesn't go up, you will actually benefit by increasing your magic level.

I will let you know immediately
And thanks.
Anyway, I am sure I would go for combat skills.

That would be so awesome! There is a free to play option and you can do many things in f2p. Though you need to be members (average $6.00 US monthly) to wield some weapons like a whip or brackish blade or god sword. But no worries, it usually takes awhile to train combat/attack up to level 70 attack which is required to wield some of the weapons. Also, rune is the top that non-members can wear but it's very effective and many 100+ combat players wear rune when in wilderness to avoid losing their more expensive dragon or bandos armor. So you're all good with that.
If you choose to go members very early, you will have even more opportunity, especially with quests, member items (potions, teleports, etc). It's just a better option. Lots more to do.

Re: What's your favorite skill to train in Runescape?
I've only ever done combat related activities in dungeoneering but one of my newest clan members is a level 3, a pure skiller and has no combat skills and does not wish to train any. When he comes along to the dungeons, he cannot do any combat and can only skill at fishing or farming or mining. So that's opening up a new way to do dungeoneering for me as we can't do combat related activities all the time.
