Thread: Runescape Botting

Although I haven't been playing Runescape recently, I heard that they had done something to the botting side of runescape where item IDs were changed every five minutes so that bots would not work.

I'm not a botter and haven't tried it, but from people's opinions, it'll be difficult for macros to come back and the Runescape economy has changed dramatically as a result. What are you guys' opinions on this?

Botting has definitely been put to a stopAll reflection type bots no longer work, and i think they no longer willI still know of a set of bots that work PERFECTLY, and thats one of the most unbannable bots to use.But yes, i believe runescape is better off without botsWith bots it was just a place where there were almost no legit players, everybody was botting :P

I'm not for sure if the itemID's changing like you said actually game into play, but I do know that they updated Runescape A LOT and you can basically no longer bot. Even if someone did have a bot for Runescape, I doubt they would release it as of right now.

Runescape is better off without bots. Things will most likely raise in price since the bots won't be feeding the economy anymore. That means more people going out and skilling. Raising there levels so they can make some money. If we had bots we wouldn't really even bother to do that our self and the prices would be really low. At least now if we do things ourselves we will make more profit.

Every mmo game is better without bots, believe me.

When i was in f2p runescape there were thousands of bots online in any given world at any given time. Then i upgraded to members and never saw any. Totally worth the $6.00 a month for a bot free experience and now everyone has that enjoyment.

Though really now, even without bots, players cheat by using auto clickers that help level up mage with high alching. It's not botting but it does let you set and forget to train your character while you watch TV or sleep. I don't use it but one of my RS friends does and he's already level 94 mage, in less than one month gone up from level 82. So it does still work, not botting though.

The older bots still work like RID, but other bots are being updated for the game. It is much better without bots anyway xD

Ghost Mouse and auto clickers still work but you have to be careful to use them in deserted locations or you get caught and reported by other players.
