Earliest money making method?

I remember two early methods of mine - was was simply gathering bananas at Karamja Island and placing them into the crate twenty at a time for thirty coins.

My other way was simply to mine iron and coal, smelt and smith it into armor and weapons, and sell it at the general store. This was long before the Grand Exchange was out and every thousand GP was so much to me.

My earliest money making method (I joined in '09) was probably mining copper and tin at Lumbridge, then smelting it into bars and selling it at the G.E.

I eventually saved up, bought a full mithril set and started killing hill giants until I could afford a full rune set. Still got that rune set to this day (Always been F2P).

Im looking for some good money making methods im tired of picking bananas and mining im looking forward to see what other methods everyone posts here.

My first way of making money was picking up things and selling at the general store. That was before i knew how to use GE. Later on, i started killing varrock guards and picking up the grapes, they drop 3 bunches of grapes at a time and that usually sells for 3k total. So a full invo is close to 20k or more, depending on what else i have in my pack.

Now it's real easy to make money in Runescape. I kill unicorns and earn anywhere from 2500 - 3000 gp each horn. Those require almost no effort.

Kill cockroach soldiers, pick up the law runes they drop and sell those. Kill king black dragon (kbd) and do loot share with a team. I've made 175k in one kill on that.

Some of these ways of earning money in Runescape cost more than others especially if u have to use potions or runes or food. But if you are high level fishing, you can always catch your own shark and cook them. Though really for the big drops you get from kbd, you don't have to be high level, you can buy and then offset the difference with what you earn.

A friend of mine who helped me form my clan (Templars Destruction) actually makes around $1 million a day in game fishing sharks. At least on his weekends when he has time to devote to the game.

I believe that's right. He quoted me that amount of RS gold as being what he earns if he spends his weekend fishing sharks. It' fairly easy to do actually as you don't have to move your character much to fish. You can just click the water and then watch TV and when he's caught his shark, do again. Fishing rocktail is also very lucrative but requires a higher fishing level, though rocktail sells for close to 3K rs gold. The friend who got me into Runescape earned near $2 mil the last time he was fishing and he spent from just about noon till 7 pm on a Saturday doing that. We hung out most of the day. I was the one protecting him from living rock creatures, at the time as they attack players who fish rocktail in Dwarven mines.
