Why is angry birds so popular?

It's a "destroy the tower" concept but with very simple gameplay and "cute" animations.
This appeals to the general public, especially the ladies and the younger generations.

I hate it so much. What is so interesting about it. It's like that old Yeti game with penguins, and that was a lot more fun !

Well i think it has this success because of the storyline and the appearance of the characters. Easy to play and entertain.

its a fun game...i just dont see the addiction part of it...its a bit over-hyped, in my opinion.

Because It has something about it that makes you addicted to it. When you can't do a level you have somethign that makes you keep playing until you beat it.

I think there's a flash game version of it, called Crush the Castle I think (it's got a more serious feel to it). As said before, the challenge is to get all the stars, but there's more than one way you can try to approach each stage... so it makes you keep playing till you figure it out :P
Also, those birds are funny xD

When I first played this game to my friends Itouch, I got addicted to it and play more! This game rocks because it is very challenging great graphics and very simple to follow. This casual game is really made mobile phone games move to the next level. I already purchase the PC version of this game and I say that it is really hard to finish!
