Touch Screen Limitations
As a long-time gamer I generally find the limitations of touch screen gaming to be too much for me...I think it's due to inaccuracy in the touch screen as well as a little bit of delay, or maybe I just miss buttons, I don't know. I've played quite a few games on my android smartphone and there's only maybe two of them that I've enjoyed (angry birds being one of them heh). What do you guys think?

Re: Touch Screen Limitations
I have an iPhone and I enjoy most of the games. True, you can't compare with pc or console gaming...but it's a start...

Re: Touch Screen Limitations
It can be modified really good and I think games like e.g. GTA can be played on touch screen. (As GTA3 has shown)

Re: Touch Screen Limitations
Sure, FPS games are hard to play on touchscreen, you just have to get used to it.

Re: Touch Screen Limitations
Yeah, I think FPS would need at least one button behind (like the R keys) for shooting. With a left thumb you can move on an analog-esque button on the screen, and with your left pointing finger you can move the camera around.
You should have a weapon switch and reload button on the left, too.

Re: Touch Screen Limitations
A friend of mine has this and seems to enjoy it, but says the whole process is not intuitive, so i probably would not enjoy. Maybe something really little kids could get into and grow up using, the touch screen technology and then over time it would seem second natural, very natural to use touch screen versus what we have now.

Re: Touch Screen Limitations
Yes, you have a point.
I played draven's Pokemon Ruby on GBA emulator and it was pretty awesome, so touch screen indeed has a nice gaming future.Automated Ad: I will give 550 Yahoo email Accounts for $15

Re: Touch Screen Limitations
Yeah, but that's GBA, which is easier than usual controls, or accelerometer.

Re: Touch Screen Limitations
I recently got my phone's touch screen fixed, it became loose. Good thing it wasn't my iPhone which was to be repaired, it will surely cost too much. But, It is really really great playing on touch screen phones, tablets, etc.
