Thread: Do you prefer the paid apps or the free ones?

When you are looking for a new app do you usually search for the paid apps or do you just get all of the free ones? Or did you jailbreak your iPod or iPhone and get all apps for free? I usually will buy apps instead of getting the free ones because paid apps rarely have adds and do not lag as much. They also have much more effort put into them. Free apps are usually boring apps that someone just made in one hour.

Paid. The quality is usually much better.

I won't deny that i really like the paid applications that i can get for free, because the paid applications are usually more developed and improved than the free ones, but i really find it hard to make the paid apps work on my Nokia E71 which runs the Symbian as an Operating System.

The free apps are never as good as the paid. When you can get a paid app for free, like for a limited time, that's always a sweet deal.

Also, most apps don't cost so much as to be out of budget. So why not splurge, especially if it's just a couple dollars.

Honestly I like free apps only if they are of a good quality. Otherwise, pay for services.

Paid mostly but there are some free apps that are still cool. The iPhone/iPad has a lot!

Er... jailbreak? Is that another word for pirated? Or, cracked?

I would prefer free apps because they are usually better quality, but I hate it when I buy a game or app and don't like it or only play it a couple times. Sort of a waste of money. I mostly just download free apps nowadays.

There are good and bad free apps, but I'd totally go with the paid for apps as they tend to be much better in terms of content, fun factor and all that good stuff. There may be some free apps with awesome content, but I'd say paying for some would be much better.
