Sony calls PSN hack a "really good time"
read more...Is-he-mad president of Sony's network entertainment Tim Schaaff has referred to the great PlayStation Network hack as "a really good time".
Schaaff believes it was more beneficial for Sony to deal with the fallout of the intrusion - placating and reassuring irate customers - than to prevent hackers ever getting in.
"Great experience, really good time," Schaaff said of the hack to GamesBeat.
I think that's a bad choice of words. Learnig experience, helped the company to grow etc. That's what he meant to say I suspect. Sounds like he's probably saying that it gave them a massive kick up the arse / wakeup call.
I'm sure that Sony have learnt a great deal. I'm pleased the PSN is back and we can all return to gaming.Automated Ad: I will Give you UNLIMITED EDU and GOV Links to Your Site or Blog for $5

Whilst he was having a great experience and really good time, millions of PSN users were and still are facing the possibility of identity and credit card fraud due to his companies incompetence.

It's used to deter hackers, they prefer people suffering from there hacks then people who had fun...

It's really beneficial for them to know that there are security holes in their system that they can upgrade.

They can make joke of that all they want. But anyone with common sense knows they had anything BUT a "really good time" with that whole ordeal.

Yes, but if you mainly use the PS3 to watch Netflix like I do, then it was a massive PITA. I'm just glad we didn't have any credit card information on the PSN so we don't really have much to worry about when it comes to fraud. In fact, I think we put the smallest amount of info in as possible, just enough so that we could log in & use the Netflix.

OMG, that is insane. This was not a "Really good time" and lost them a lot of money in the converts to Xbox. Crazy dude.
