Default Not time for PlayStation 4 yet! — SONY

Sony, one of the current leading game console producer, and Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida had announced that “today is not the time for a new console” or in short, a Playstation 4 or PS4.

I agree wholeheartedly. It really isn't time to release a new console. PS3 was a really good release and it's still a great console, there's no need to ruin that and make it obsolete by releasing a new console so soon. We just need to enjoy the current system and not worry about the next one, Sony will release it in due time.

I think they have to look out for the Wii U release though.
If Sony waits too long, some people might move over to Nintendo instead of waiting.
That being said, I'd rather they wait and release a really good console instead of rushing it and making mistakes.

I might agree with you. I heard Nintendo will release a new system by next year. This would leave Sony and Microsoft behind...

Eh I'm personally happy for this because the ps3 is still a really good entertainment console. Who cares if NIntendo will release a new system before Sony and Microsoft, they still don't have the games to drag away Sony and Microsoft customers.

Well, I guess they really know how to play the game in the business world. I think they really made the right move in not having to release PS4 soon because I agree that rushing things might not win the attention of gamers nowadays. It takes time to develop one great console and I suggest that they should come up with a new technology and innovation in a new console before releasing it and for sure it will be a hit.

Why does anyone want the new systems so fast anyway? All that will be is another system everyone will moan and whine about the price over. I'm actually happy with the way things are. Everyone wants the new things to be out asap and then when they can't actually afford them the crying begins.

The only reason that they want new consoles, it's because they want to know if it can provide better game experiences to them.

I'm glad they're not releasing a new console. I don't understand how anyone could want a Playstation 4 now; does this mean that the Playstation 3 isn't enough to satisfy? I don't get how anyone could be constantly affording these new consoles either. Unless you have a job that pays you good enough, it's unreal to me that someone could constantly dish out $200+ for a console and $40 for every game that comes with it. People shouldn't buy everything that comes out on the gaming market just because it's "new" and has features that other consoles don't. Once a year or so passes, they'll probably look back and realize it wasn't worth the $.

That's exactly my point. Everyone wants "new", but they aren't going to be willing to pay "new" prices. They should at least wait for the economy to become more stable where people can get jobs and raises are implemented again.
