Thread: Do you still use PSN?

I don't see any reason not to, it's completely free and while the service isn't good as xbox live it still works well enough most of the time. Last game I played on it was Battlefield 1943 and everything worked well, still quite a few people on that game.

Can a hacked PSP enter PSN?

Yeah I still use it from time to time. It's no big deal really as long as you use psn cards from the store.

I haven't been able to use PSN for a while now, due to a broken PS3. But when I had a working console I used it all the time. It's free, and I was always able to find people playing the games I wanted to play online. I also find the members of PSN friendlier than the people on XBox Live, though I'll admit I haven't played XBL a lot, so I might have just gotten unlucky. I've never entered personal credit card details into PSN, so the hacking problem didn't really worry me.

As you say no place online is safe, even banks have been breached. So no need to hate on PSN (for those who are doing so) thinking only they are vulnerable. Anyone online can get hacked. Any secure site. And, the hackers sometimes do it for access to sensitive information and other times, just cause they can.

It's mostly about notoriety in the hacking community. If you were able to, say, hack the pentagon's database and get away with it, then you would be respected more as a hacker.

If you hack Pentagon, you won't definitely get away.

Hacker is one who isn't known by anyone. In other words, you never know who hacker is.

Of course I still use the PSN. I just don't have my credit card up on it anymoe. I buy PSN cards now when I want to purchase something from the PS store.
