Default HD Remakes/Collections or Backwards Compatibility?

Which would you guys rather have? Backwards Compatibility like we saw in older PS3 models, or the HD remastered collections that are being put out?

Personally, I'm fine with the HD Remastered collections, they're cheap, they usually have more then 1 game per blu ray disc and there's enhancements to it like trophy support. Now that I go after trophies or anything, but it's just a nice addition and perhaps a reason to go back and revisit some old, great PS2 classics.

I'm okay with HD Remasters (particularly excited about the upcoming Devil May Cry remakes), but I'd rather have backwards compatibility. There are a lot of PS2 games I can't play now because the Slim doesn't have backwards compatibility (Killzone, Spartan Total Warrior and Midnight Club 2 come to mind), and even having redone versions of some of my favourites isn't enough to make up for it in my opinion.

I played Beyond Good And Evil HD remastered and have no complaints. If every game will be done that way then I don't see why not.

HD Remakes are another way to make more money. When the PS3 first came out you could download software from the web to allow your PS3 to play old PS2/PS One games, now with the slim model available that's not the case. If you want to play old PS games on your PS3 you have to buy them all over.

I'm fine with HD remakes, however I haven't bought a single one yet. Of course I have a grand total of 4 games on the PS3 so might buy one once my 360 backlog shrinks a bit. That being said I'd love to get a R&C HD Remake with the original trilogy, and Ratchet Deadlocked along with that would be nice too.

moneill83 is spot on imo. But some games really could be remastered hd, and there are a few that I wouldn't be sad to buy if they get remastered one day.

I'm looking for a Yakuza HD collection, wouldn't object to a GTA HD Collection or even a Max Payne HD collection.

Gta Vice City HD remake would be brilliant.
It does indeed deserve it as one of the best in the franchise. Story-wise and gameplay-wise.

I agree 100% with that. I think GTA3 and Vice City should be re-done in HD and put on a single blu ray disc. San Andreas would be a nice bonus too but as long as I can have GTA 3 and Vice City in HD, I'd be happy
