    Default Fixing an old PS1

I have an old PS1 and I tried to open it using an old game CD. But it can't read it.
Do anyone know how can I fix it?

It is probably cheaper just to buy a working one. I saw people giving away a ps1 the other day. Said they would throw it out if no one took it. Check eBay

Throwing it? Really? They don't have any value now?

I personally wouldn't throw away any console I have bought, however old or outdated it might get. In most cases, it signifies something that I spent my childhood with, and throwing it away would mean throwing a part of my childhood away. I have all the consoles that I ever bought, right from the NES to the PS 3 right now.

That's very much my same sentiment. These things already have sentimental value in my life. And seeing them agaian after a long time is like remembering your childhood.

Wish i still had it... NOTHING can replace those days of playing Crash bandicoot into the late hours of the night, which at that time, was 8 PM sharp :P
Google some PS1 EYE cleaning tutorials, might help

Many people are giving away their old stuff on e-bay just cause they don't need them anymore and they come to the point where they would throw them in the garbage can if they had no other option. So, look on internet auctions, I agree there are many PS1s there that people just give away...

That's a bummer. The PS1/2 is kinda small and can fit in a small box so why give it away...

Yeah, maybe he shoud've kept it. I still have a Commodore 64 as an antique. I might sell it one day when it costs as a great piece of old techonology.
