What is the release date for the Playstation 4 (PS4)?

I'm thinking mid to late 2012. The PS1 came out in '94, the PS2 in '00 and the PS3 in '06. If the pattern continues from there, it should come out in 2012-13.

I have heard it will be out in 2012. But that is just from word of mouth.

in my opinion there is no such date at the moment .....these are just i should say imaginative dates!

but PS4 will be launched thats for sure but when , that i dont know!

I think sony is not set any released date for this console.

My guess is 2013. There was no announcement at E3, which very few people were expecting, so I think 2012 is out the window. 2013 now makes a lot of sense now that Nintendo has announced that they will be launching the Wii-U in 2012, and if you look at the past, competitors seem to always bring out their consoles a year after the first mover in each new generation of consoles. Therefore, I see the PS4 and the next Xbox both launching in holiday of 2013.
