Didn't they just release the NGP? I doubt they will make the PS4 portable at this point.

You mean the PS Vita? Not that.
Talking about a smaller version of the console with built-in screen/monitor.

If it was possible, the console itself would be made to be portable. Even a 360 cannot be shrunk down to that size currently. Consoles require cooling and, if shoved into a small compact device, would likely burn your hands because of how hot they get.

There are suitcase type devices you can buy that allow you to transport your console around with a built in screen.

If that's really hot, how come during the PSX days, we got the PSone version?

The PSone is an old console which much less powerful hardware. It did not generate as much heat as the processors and such were not running at the speeds you find in modern consoles. This kind of thing didn't used to be an issue. Hence why consoles used to not have fans in them at all.
