Thread: How Much Should The PS4 Cost?

I remember when I got my first PS3 when it first came out and I payed almost $600 for it. I feel like it was worth it but that is still a lot of money. With that said, how much do you think the PS4 should cost?

I bet $500-700 and probably $700. Just because of inflation and they have to up the price. :|

Good geez, $700? I don't know about that one, haha. I might have to settle for just the PS Vita if we're looking at $700 for a gaming console. Then again it might just be worth it.

Personally i wouldnt pay more than £250 for a games console. A PC though is a different matter.

Well, if PS3 was 500 € when it first came out, I think that PS4 will be at least 700 € which is about 900 $ ...... but who knows, maybe they will give them for free :P

I just hope they lower the price of the ps3 because I really want one. Ps3s seem to be able to do lots of things already. A ps4 for free would be sweet!

That really does sound so expensive to me right now for some reason. I have to be honest, if the PS4 came out now, I would wait as I do not think I would feel that $600-$700 would be worth it for me. I really would be looking for a sub $400 price before making a move. It also depends on what it has with it though. Also the games will matter. I have been disappointed by the lack of real MMOGs in the latest generation of consoles, so if that changed in the next generation, I would likely be willing to pay more.

I really hope it doesn't cost more than $500! In my opinion the PS3 was very overpriced even though it did have the blu-ray disc compatibility. PlayStation should have a competitive price with Microsoft and Nintendo this time around.

I think on release it will probably be priced anywhere from $500-$800

Personally i would only purchase it at a later date, once prices have had time to go down, or maybe even purchase a second hand one for even cheaper.

I expected it to cost not more than $1000.
