Thread: New PS3 Wireless Headset

Alright, so I have asked around but so far no one has been able to give me any answers. Sony recently released a new Headset, it's $100, twice the earpiece(which I alreay have). With Battlefield 3 coming out soon I really don't know if I want to go through the pain of getting used to the earpiece again but if the headset isn't great I don't want to drop $100 on it either.
So has anyone tried them?
Are they worth it?

Yeah I thought that it looked pretty good too, I'm just wondering how the virtual 7.1 sounds and most importantly how it feels. That earpiece just hurts for a while and I haven't been using it so I know the pain is coming if I end up sticking with it.

Yeah I'm definitely leaning that way since the only other good headset I have heard about is made by Turtle Beach, it's $150 for the one with 7.1 surround and it's not wireless. So really more money less convenience doesn't stack up well. I just was hoping someone else took the plunge on the new headset and could either reassure me or tell me they were junk. Well as I was writing this I went to Gamestop to see if they carry them and they have a 9.2 out of 10 with 102 reviews so I guess I will be popping for these right before Battlefield 3 comes out.

Yeah, I'm just going to have to start saving my pennies $100 for these and then $60 for Battlefield 3. I just really hate to spend money I'm just cheep like that.

Wow that really does look impressive! It does look different from other headsets. It looks absolutely high-tech and worth the buy. I will absolutely put this into my budget. Thanks for sharing.

yeah.....definitely great.

look pretty nice and comfy , but the $100 price point is a little bit on the steep side.
