Thread: Free to play Online games?

What are some free to play online games that you enjoy? I play League of Legends and Runescape and used to play Maplestory. So what are your favorite online free games?

I like to play Second Life. The game is free, but most of the items in the game require actual currency.

Maplestory . It's still fun to boss.
I played a little bit of League of Legends, but I got bored because it took too long to finish one game.

I play Atlantica Online a lot. It's a tactical turn-based RPG owned by the same company as MapleStory. Lot of fun and definitely worth checking out.

I don't consider Second Life a game so much as a chat client with a 3d interface. I used to 'play' that as well and DJed at many different clubs but I've lost interest several times because it's hard to meet people who are actually cool.

I play quite a few F2P games. Here are a few:

Champions Online - Great superhero mmo with the best character customization ever.

Vindictus - Hack and slash instance mmo with realtime combat and pretty variable gameplay.

League of Legends - Horribly elitist community but a fun game if you play with some friends of yours who are all the same level.

World of Tanks - Simply the best tank game out right now. Very tactics based. Great if you enjoy that kind of thing.

Hellgate London - Essentially Diablo 2 in an FPS format. Very glitchy since it went F2P but pretty solid gameplay and just as rewarding as Diablo 2.

I play Forsaken World. It's free to play as well. It's kind of like World of Warcraft if that's what kind of game you're looking for. I'm loving it at the moment.

There are lots of free online games you can play... duh. I play casual games all the time like murloc 2 rpg and uhm... movie star planet games... and more too just do a search!

Once you've played a good amount of MMORPG, you find that they're all pretty much the same. However, one MMO that I enjoyed recently was Eden Eternal by Aeriagames. If you don't know about it and you're new to online gaming, I recommend checking it out. It's one of the best newbie-friendly MMORPG I've played. MapleStory is also pretty good for new gamers, since it's family friendly and the controls aren't too hard.

Vindictus has been mentioned, and it's a good MMO despite being a hack-and-slash type. It gets boring pretty fast, but the graphics are outstanding and so are the movements. It's really fun if you're looking for a dungeon-type game that can be played with a gamepad controller.
