The original Super Mario Bros. is the only Mario Bros. game I haven't been able to beat. I always ran out of lives around Level 7 or 8.

I love playing Mario browser games but they are not anything like the original or Arcade versions or at least not from what i remember.

I'm sure there are some classic consoles still available on Ebay. Though as you say, there are many subtle and obvious differences when you play on the original console.
