What do you think about this? Will they be able to beat Facebook this way?

Well, I've only tried Google+ a few times because of the lack of friends and contacts I've got there, since most of my age group "belongs" on FaceBook.
However, I was actually planning to use Google+ for business and business relationships instead of social networking, as that's what I use FaceBook for. I had hoped that Google+ would be a more mature place, like LinkedIn and similar business networks.

I assume adding games to Google+ could be a good idea, as people could just avoid them if they want to, however I hope we're not spammed with game news (like John Johnson just completed a crop in FarmVille, now you play too!), as that would clearly make me leave their network at once.

It may beat Facebook. It has already beaten the Facebook Like and Google +1 is found on many sites! We can just wait and watch...

It depends, I think they will coexist. Facebook has already too much fame by now, and what Google can do is implement their site with their mail accounts or so. Otherwise, it can't grow so fast.

True. Why choose when you can use both. Right?
And to be honest, I am having problems on Google+'s layout. It's not really user friendly.

Thankfully it's still in Beta so there's potential for improvements. The layout does throw me sometimes.

I know part of the appeal for me with Google+ was that there wouldn't be as much gaming flooding of feeds. Hopefully there will be a decent amount of listening to their users about avoiding the FaceBook-style spam.

And people are spending so much energy on these. You're only giving them money and attention. 'Who will be more popular? Who will have the better game?'. In my opinion, they should all go to hell. One company for Smartphones, one for socializing networks, one for tablets etc.

I agree. The layout is really a pain for me to use. I don't know but it's not really user friendly.

Does it matter? They'll offer the same crappy games as facebook. The focus should be on better games, not on who's hosting them.

Once google plus is available to the the masses it needs that appealing power Facebook has to convince people to make the shift or at least try its site once. Its like Twitter and Tumblr. I am on twitter but even though both are micro-blogging site I have not even tried to use Tumblr once. It does not appeal to me.
