Under rated games

Do you know of any good PC games that are considered "under rated"?

What genre? And what makes you think it's good?

There are loads of underrated ones, especially some of the indie games no one notices because they're not AAA, such as Lugaru and Overgrowth, Hydrophobia and Shattered Horizon. All of them take an intresting idea and pull it off relatively well, but again because they're not AAA and maybe have a few bugs in they seem to get tossed to the side for bigger games.

On the bigger game front, I think Brink got a lot of flack. It is a solid game, the SMART system is brilliant and adds a lot to the game and you actually need teamwork as opposed to other team-based games such as Team Fortress 2. Again, a few bugs and everyone threw it away.

What's AAA? And can you show us some videos of those games...?

Clive Barker's Undying. That game is all kinds of awesome and one of the few horror games out there that use something other than the "boo factor"(when some random critter comes at you from nowhere) to scare the pants off you.

Unfortunately, it was distributed by EA which took out huge chunks of the game for deadline reasons and also pushed to get a better ESRB rating, thus eliminating some of the cooler abilities and the gritty details in the game. Even with these problems, the game is still solid and despite being released in the early part of 2000 or 2001 is still a pleasure to play.
