Thread: Need a good city builder.

This is a description of a game that would fit my desires, if any of you know of a game like this please let me know!!

Set in the 1700's.. Basic city builder elements where you build up a town and city and you need to provide for the citizens to make them happy, develop trade with other cities\nations. Also with military conflicts. So essentially I would be looking for a hybrid of Tropico (the CB aspect), and Age of Empires 3 (the time era and warfare aspects). I really liked the Caesar games, but the last one I played was Caesar 3 I believe and have no heard much about any others. I use steam to get most of my games but I have a difficult time navigating the interface to search for a game specifically like how I want. If you guys know of any games like this please let me know.

You can try Anno 1404. It is basically what you described but it's the period of America's discovery. You should look it up on the net (gameplay and reviews).

For a more involved experience you might try Total War Empires. Its based in that time period, and your goal is to take over Europe, basically. There are elements both of city development and of war.
