For the sheer sake of everything they led to over the games, I'm going to have to go with the Mario games. There's a lot of history there and they continue to be expanded, even now, many years after they were introduced.

Pretty much most of what they put out for the SNES and N64. The smash bros series. The super mario series. The zelda series. They're all good in one way or another.

I find Super Mario really good but only managed to only beat 2 installments: Super Mario Land 2, and 6 Golden Coins on the Game Boy.

I don't know, but I find most Mario games I have played are kinda hard...
