I don't really find the Senate thingy unnecessary, considering this is where Palpatine got the power to start building the Empire.

The game looks aesthetically nice, but I played a bit and I'm not so impressed. For now. My friend is a subscriber so I tried a bit. The battleground lags like hell and servers are unbalanced.

And, isn't it pricey, too? Three levels and you only get the best of everything at the most expensive level. And, that's $149, iirc. Maybe i'm thinking of another Star Wars game.

    Well the graphics are bad.
It's an old game. What are you expecting, lol.
I used to play older Star Wars games. Not bat, tbh.

Could it be that your friend's internet speed is not that fast for one to play SWTOR, or there could be many players in that area.
And what do you mean by "servers are unbalanced"?

If you want good battle scenes, Episode II has the best one out of the three prequels.

Servers are unbalanced cause there are too many people on one server which causes severe lag and crash. And I'm sure he has pretty good internet speed.

    Than it's host's problem.
Is it being hosted on a player who created the "map"/"server" or are there public servers for the game ?

No, no, it's a public server.
