Sure. If you become addicted and let it consume your life, then yes MMO's do keep you really busy. :P I love PSO (Phantasy Star Online) but i'm far from addicted. I used to be addicted to it, it wasn't a pretty sight. However, I'm a lot less addicted now that I run my own server. (How ironic is that?)

I played WoW, and I was really addicted. My brother is still an MMO freak and his life is a mess because of it.

Having made 2 Grand Marshals and 1 Field Marshal I can definitely say that it consumes a lot of your time and life energy lol.

Do you regret it, though? that's the real question.

Well, I know I would regret if I start any MMO.

It can be a very time consuming hobby if you let it. But that's up to each player. Some players only play part time, because they have better things to do. But others get addicted, not so much to the game but the chemicals that get released when they achieve things.

Agreed. Sure, some people can go really overboard and truly be addicted to a bad extreme. For the rest of us, though, playing an MMO offers up a lot of good things compared to other games, so it's worth the time spent. And yeah, they can certainly keep you busy, but gotta remember that it's just a game and you can technically stop at any point and walk away.
