Re: Best MMO
A very practical reason not to play MMO. Most would say that MMO grinds. And, it does and the higher you go in MMO, the harder it is to level up but you can't quit cause of the time already invested. Without at least one friend in an MMO game, I won't bother cause it grinds unbelievably. It starts to feel like actual work. I know people who play MMO alone and I never understand why. I could not bear it. And, yeah, the bandwidth requirements to play MMO is massive by comparison to just playing a computer game, which only uses the resources of your computer.

Re: Best MMO
Since that time, i quit Runescape for about a month, barely logging in once a week.
Came back to Runescape about two weeks ago and found lots better ways to level up on everything. I guess it's possible to grind the levels and get them done, but really how fast does it need to go? Right?
I talked to a player who'd been in the game for 10 years. I told him that i was way behind and trying to catch up. He said, don't play to catch up, play for fun. And, really if an MMO or any game is not fun, then why are you playing? So find ways to keep it fun, take it slow if you need to.
That's what i'm doing, anyway. At least for now. And, yeah, i did bother to actually start making more friends in Runescape since i came back, started a clan, met some great people. Not everyone is on at the same time, but i do usually have one or two people online at any given time and we hang out when we can. It's fun, otherwise i solo in game or do my work.Automated Ad: I will Give You 1000 Facebook Likes to Any Website Domain in 24 hrs Guaranteed for $15

Re: Best MMO
hehe. Yeah, it stops being fun without progression. Making even small achievements or 'wins' in games, even on levels is a big deal, it's like a personal mark of excellence, some way you can control a tiny piece of your life, even when your job, personal life, family life, neighborhood, boss, life circumstances, etc, is unchangeable or out of control.
