Kinect 2

With the first kinect being pretty new, I have already heard rumors of the next one. It is supposed to be able to read your facial expressions and let the xbox know what kind of mood your in. It is also supposed to be able to read you finger movements, which the current one can't do. I think it is a little early to already be coming out with another one we all have to buy.

The concept is already a failure but microsoft won't stop beating a dead horse like all of their other failed products.

Chances are they could probably just release an update for current Kinects that would let it do those things but they would make less money that way so of course they will just release an all new product that makes our current ones obsolete.

Facial recognition? Really?
Even if they could do that, theres no way to depict your mood, people can always put a fake smile. And nobody "sad" or "Angry" is going to say "hey, lets play some kinect"

I remember when I bought into the hype the Kinect had. I also remember how disappointed I ended up being that I wasted so much money on it. It's interesting, but IMO it doesn't work well enough to warrant the money I spent on it.

I don't own any of these (Kinect, Move or Wii) so I couldn't test them properly.

Im pretty sure the Wii is trivial when compared to the other two

When it comes to motion gaming, superiority is measured in accuracy and ease of use.

As far as accuracy goes, PS Move is the best when it comes to shooters and the Wii is all around pretty damn accurate.

The Kinect however is a clunky pile of garbage that relies on the 'no controller' gimmick to sell units rather than actual quality. There's a reason nobody wants to make good games for it.
