Thread: Problem with left 4 dead.

I just installed windows xp sp2 installed latest drivers for nvidia 5200fx drivers. Updated directx drivers updated sound drivers. And yet the game does not play properly. When in game, I get super slow frame rate but worst of all, i cant see what's going on in the game. There are artifacts everywhere and everything is really bright an I see shapes every where. Vary odd as I never seen anything like this before. I would upload a photo but I'm new here and can't do that yet.

I uninstalled video drivers and did a driver clean in safe mode and reinstalled video drivers

I have a ms-7211 Motherboard with fx 5200 so where to go from here?

You need a newer video card. The 5200fx is below the minimum system requirements and to be honest it sounds like it's dying.

I wouldnt recommend updating the card though as I imagine all your hardware is quite outdated. Care to post your system specs?

nvidia 5200fx is way too old. You should get minimum one from 9 series. Below that don't loook ( Maybe 8 series ).
