You can upload hd quality of any format, but your upload speed has to be good.

Don't go for HD videos as they will cost you a lot of bandwidth to upload.

Yeah! OK. That would work. Here in the states, we have bandwidth caps and they are charging us LOTS of extra money for doing things like streaming HQ videos and downloading, especially if that puts us over the limit. I try to only watch videos on Youtube at lower resolution and also on video streaming sites that don't use HQ as this keeps my bill down.
