Stealth Games: Yay or Nay?

I personally like stealth games because anyone can just run through level after level in a game mashing buttons and destroying everything in sight but it takes true skill to sneak around undetected to the AI and getting stealth kills like the deadliest ninja. How do you feel?

Yeeeeeah. I am great fan of Hitman, which is Semi-Stealth game if you don't know how to play it. But for me, I just finished all 4 games like Silent Assassin 30 times each

Well, playing as a Hitman in any game is awesome...the idea of an assassin is the best imo, most exciting of everything.

I don't mind them, but I'm more of a shoot 'em up kinda guy. I haven't played any stealthy games recent, though I used to enjoy splinter cell and mgs1.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is one of the best stealth games ever and it provides an excellent alternative to the usual Rambo style FPS.

Metal Gear series FTW!

Oh and putting modern assassination aside, I also love the Tenchu series and it's bloody way of killing the targets. I'm sure you guys have an idea how swift and brutal ninjas are. >:-) Stealth game fans should play this game, otherwise you are missing a lot when it comes to this game genre.

When in the mood to just mess with someones head, I'll pop in one of the Metal Gear games and fool around with the guards using boxes and such. Shooting their exclamation marks. It's great fun.

Just wish the moving box tactic worked in real life.
