How do cheats get discovered?

How do cheats get discovered? Especially when the game is just new?

The creators obviously know them and I'm sure spread the word by mouth. I'm better that they are Al's given to magazines and news publications as well for more exposure.

Many cheats get discovered by accident. But the game developer/publisher releases their whole list of cheats and easter eggs to game reviewers and other media. These get spread like forest fires and we will find a long list of sites where we can know the cheats and secrets of a particular game when we search in Google or any other search engine.

I didn't knew that the cheats came from the developers themselves. But wouldn't it make their games less exciting?

I think people just mess around with the game really in order to figure out cheats. The game devs also may let out a few secretly.

It would depend on the cheat. I know a lot of "cheats" are shortcuts used by developers to help them in testing the game, but some are put in to games for fun.

I know some of them. Like "unlimited ammo and health" and "all weapons".

I think most of the cheats are put in for the fun of it to be honest.

Well, I know that they are inveted by developers in order to shorten some stages for game testers. For example, tester needs to obtain something in 20th level, so that he don't need to pass first 19, they cheat. So tester can spread that cheats or they just come up in the magazines etc.

Just don't confuse glitch and cheat.
