Re: Favorite Games
LoL is better than DOtA imo. But it's full of elitists and stupid kids since it's free to play and easy to master so after a while you just get bored of all the crap sprouted there.

Re: Favorite Games
In Runescape, a 'member' is anyone who pays. But anyone can play for free. You just have to sign in with your Facebook account or sign up free with your email address.
Extra benefits include no trade limits, exclusive members only quests and armor/weapons and citadels for your clan. Lots other benefits too, such as loyalty points you can spend in game on character emotes, player titles and auras.

Re: Favorite Games
Great. But it is not really fun when you don't pay for full version.

Re: Favorite Games
Of course, you don't get as many perks and you have to walk more places, versus use teleport tabs. But you do get many non-member quests. Though there are some big bosses you can't fight also armor/weapons are not as good. But if you love the game, you can easily level your attack or range skill to at least 60 easy. And, then upgrade. Then you would have high level but have not paid much to get there and then enjoy being high level player as a paying member.

Re: Favorite Games
The best F2P MMOs are the ones that don't make a huge difference between paying accounts and people that play for free. You can get benefits in F2P by paying for some epic mounts, bags, cool fashion clothes (but not gear) and stuff like that. So the difference isn't to big and people stick with the game.

Re: Favorite Games
So like it's all free except for in game upgrades? That sounds like a better idea. Though really in Runescape, there's a HUGE difference between free and paid members. For one thing, the Runescape map is gigantic for members, more land to travel over. Which is ironic, cause teleport (tele-tab, ring of weath, games necklace, etc) is the most popular way for members to traverse where as free members run almost everywhere. So in a way paying members purposefully choose to pass up all the beautiful scenery that free members are not privileged to see.

Re: Favorite Games
grand chase was like that before, then kog got greedy, and wanted more money.. the updates are good and always new, but they are milking the players like cows. i dont really blame them, money runs the game. but compared to what grand chase was before to it is now, it really makes me sad. i dont spend money on the games i play.. that is MY strict rule.
coz time will come i know i will stop playing them and engage my focus to this unpopular game called reality. xD

Re: Favorite Games
Time enough to grow up later on. Why not enjoy some cheap game thrills now.
MMO games don't cost so much money.
Which is a better value, a game for Xbox 360 that costs $70 that you finish up in a week or ten months of MMO game at $7.00 a month? Constant 24/7 game play with no hope of ever running out of activities in game. Just depends on how you look at it. Anyway, guess it depends on your chosen game and how much you like it as to whether you feel it's worth the investment.
