Thread: Dead Island - Anyone getting?

Is anyone pre-ordering or getting Dead Island the day it releases? I know I am, that game looks sick. Way better than Left 4 Dead for sure!

I just watched some videos on it and in none of them did i see guns, so probably not because it might be boring with just melee weapons.

I will wait for a while. Looks pretty good though. Let us know what you think of it.

I've just checked out the game on its official website and i think it's not that bad, that's why i might give it a try but i'll have to wait till the release date, which is September the 9th to get a copy of the game.

Definatly best zombie game i have seen in a while and is an fps so yea going to pick it up for sure in september.

Looks like a great game. I'm afraid that the singleplayer will get boring after few hours. But I think that the multiplayer will rock! But i do not think that it can compete with TES and Battlefield 3 that will be out around that time.

Trailer was great. I hope that ingame we will se such detailed graphics. I also hope that developers make us not bored in single player as you said above. IMO this game will be better than L4D.

You cannot compare Dead-Island with L4D. L4D is a FPS that is based, you cannot customize, you need to follow the story and you can only choose the weapons that Valve made. Dead-Island is the complete opssite of that

I am getting Dead Island for Christmas. I cannot wait to get the game. I seen the reviews and trailers and it looks pretty interesting. L4D is awesome but it is mainly fun if you play with friends and not just by yourself, but Dead Island is the opposite which is why I choose to get it over L4D.
