Thread: Best movie adaptations of video games?

Which are your favourite film versions of video games? I enjoyed the Tomb Raider films and thought Silent Hill was pretty good.

Doom wasn't bad, and the first part of Resident Evil was impressive for a game adaptation, cause they usually suck. I'll never get over that awful Mortal Kombat adaptation... never.

Of course, Resident Evil is very well known. Wasn't 28 days later an adaptation of a video game or maybe that was a graphic novel first? LOL! It was still very good.

I think it was a graphic novel cause I haven't heard of a game.
It's really hard to think of a good video game film adaptation. If there was a contest of the worst game adaptation, then we would have many potential winners.
I just remembered Hitman was a pretty decent movie.

Rumor has it that Castlevania and Call of Duty are set to be made into movies.

CoD Movie? With Price and Soap? Would be awesome.

A Call of Duty movie would be very cool. But, the rumors of this movie have been around for some time now. I think it's an on again off again project they're working on. Not sure what the hold up would be though. Maybe financing is lacking or they don't think there's enough public interest.

It would probably suck. I don't get my hopes up for anything that is based on games. Cartoons, comics, movies...
