If you are sick and tired of all the telemarketers who keep calling every hour, then you should try to apply this trick which will enable you to get rid of them in a very great and effective way !

On a serious note, I have registered my phone number with the Do Not Call registry that the U.S. government set up a few years back. Doesn't get rid of all telemarketers, but it stops many of them.

Well good for you because those telemarketers are really annoying since they keep calling every minute, but you should know that most of those call-centers are situated outside the USA so that they can benefit from cheap workers and save a lot of money.

I prefer the 'shout horrific abuse at your phone' approach to dealing with telemarketers.

I understand they're just doing there jobs, but its more annoying than they could ever realize.

Well yeah they are doing their jobs but you know they really get a very high salary plus the bonuses that they get if they sell extra items, that's why they call people and talk calmly because they know that a big fat check is waiting for them in the end of month.

I actually know some telemarketers & the pay isn't nearly as much as you would think. Most people don't buy the extras or even the initial item! So they don't get a bonus, they get a flat pay rate that rarely reaches minimum wage. At least the ones I know... It may be different for the outsourced people but not all telemarketers are outsourced.

It's the opposite in my country ! there are a lot of people who get paid very high for selling items on the phone and they even get a lot of bonuses for selling extra items, so they are living like kings here !

Well i live in Morocco and i have to admit that a lot of people who work in that sector really make a lot of money, because those call centers are mainly foreign companies who pay very high, but you should know that people working in call centers usually call other people who live in European countries such as France, Belgium, Switzerland, the UK...so if they sell just one item successfully they earn a lot from it.
