Thread: Give up gaming for 1 million dollars?

I'm assuming there would be consequences if you broke your promise and took the money? Then yes, i would give up gaming and then buy the biggest game system i could and hire body guards to stand at my door 24/7 while i gamed to my heart's content. I got the money. I got the games. Whatcha gonna do?

What kind of question is that? The reason why most of us are working is because we use the money we earn from our job to buy games. I know you can spend that amount of money for other things such as travel all over the world, build a huge and beautiful house, buy a luxury car, sleep with different girls every night (if that is your kind of thing) etc. but you can do all that stuff in a short period of time, say 5-6 years, and after spending all the money you will begin thinking "so I've done pretty much everything, now what?" and then suddenly you will remember the times when you used to play games when you feel bored and end up regretting your decision.

I'd try to jack the price up as high as possible before agreeing to this. I think it's only fair to get as much as I can from such a strange social experiment. If you offered a million to stop eating pork, I'm all in. But, if you tell me I couldn't play a video game if I take your money....What the? lol

I'm sure some of those things you mentioned would have recurring value, no? Like dating hot women? I'm assuming that would be an ongoing thing if you had so much money. Still it would be cool for a guy to have hot girls to hang out with while he was gaming, right?

This! Gamers are no longer limited to those people with bad fashion sense stereotype. There are pretty gamer girls/women out there you can go out with, so I'd still say no to 1 million dollars in exchange for not playing games for the rest of my life.

And, i thnk gamer girls are more likely to hang out with you anyway, money or no and the money you had (assuming a financial windfall) would just be a bonus.

But yeah, you don't need the money to get hot gamer girls to date. Good point.

If you get money you can just use that on games that you both play and then have best of both world.

I would give you the money, but i've already promised a small island to my other friend who games with me in Runescape. Said i would buy him a small island if i ever won a million dollars in lottery.
