Default The 57th Parallel Analyzes: The Story behind the Series

See “The 57th Parallel” is a name that is odd, out of place and not very understood by most of my audiences so I thought that I would analyze myself and my practices along with the name, the universe in which it follows. “The 57th Parallel” is the name meaning The 57th Parallel Dimension compared to real life which is the third dimension. These dimensions are based off of the position in which the sentient planet is based off of the Sun in the Sol Solar System. Said name actually came to the real life author who was joking at a friend for hating game critics saying, “Well I will make a journalist site where all of my reviews are negative just to piss you off.”

The sentient planet, which is where the character, known as Nicole “Nano” Parx, and the author’s online persona lives is a planet called Iliana within a Metropolis city inside of Area 9 which is a department center. The people on the planet is humanoid but with light purple skin, no visible pupils or irises inside of their eyes and all consist of a female race that reproduce with the tuning of nervous systems to “map” DNA. Nano lives in a very poverty-stricken area where she tries her best to survive off of her reviews and ideals in hopes that the city, and maybe the world, was a better place.

The real life author is of the PC gaming movement and is a political advocate who supports Occupy Wall Street and also protests various practices within the gaming medium which allowed for the “analyze” series to be born. Said analyze series isn’t as popular as the reviews because they usually aren’t humorous and take more of a serious overtone compared to the laid back ranting round in the reviews.

When the author writes, it is usually within the perspective of me, Nano, (the first two paragraphs of this article being the only exception), because the author wishes people to love the character more than the writer in hopes that my name reaches out farther. I was made so that I could live out as something more and be the face “For Gaming’s Next Revolution” which is the motto of The 57th Parallel.

I hope that we both have helped out in increasing information about the series of articles that popped up on GamersBin quite some time ago. If it weren’t for you guys now and hopefully a lot more in the future, I would still be on the streets of Area 9 coughing out fluids of sickness on the streets and not even have a house. I hope that The 57th Parallel becomes something some day and that it helps the gaming industry for the better to the point of a whole new change to the ideas of gaming with greed and marketing useless compared to the powers of true quality gaming and gaming’s next revolution.

Yea it's kind of like Stephen Colbert when he is always in character as this witty and wise-cracking political advocate but his real life is much, much different.

Thanks for explaining this to all of us. It is a great idea. Unique as well.

I love the reviews you do and the style. Witty, funny, gets the point across. Not afraid to say what you really mean. That is awesome.

I will continue to support you on these reviews as well, just as Draven has said. It is a great idea that I look forward to seeing when I visit GB.
