Thread: Farmville, best game in Facebook?

Do you think Farmville is the best game in the social networking site Facebook?

Yeah, maybe but there are a lot of flash games that rip off the Farmville theme so you can get the same experience with any farming type flash game on the internet. Maybe Farmville is more complex. Lots of people play so there must be something attractive about the game to keep them coming back. Addicting, maybe?

Farmville is probably the original game with this concept, but I don't think that it's the best out there... :P

On the iPhone, there are a lot of games like Farmville. I mean a lot - countless, try looking out for them yourself. I prefer games like Restaurant City as a matter of fact, despite the fact that I play neither at the moment.

I actually also like Tetris Battle on Facebook and Tetris in general... xD

Yes, I think it is the best since it is original (CityVille and stuff are just copies), but still Farmville copies concept of old Tycoon games. Anyway, I don't like any of those games Facebook offers, but still FarmVille was the only that made me at least try it.

Do you think Farmville kinda rips-off Harvest Moon?

Yes, and not only Harvest Moon, but it kinda rips of Tycoon games and similar stuff. It is still good fun for the oldies.

To be honest, at the moment, Farmville is dying down - I don't know that many people which play it. For those who are addicted/play a lot, they also don't usually have much regular Facebook activity (apart from "someone sent you a gift...") and the number of people who are using Facebook just for apps is lowering.. so..

I'm not familiar with Tycoon games but which comes first? It or Harvest Moon?

I think they were all published at the same time, the first Buisiness simulation game (Tycoon game) called Capitalism, I played it and I think it is one of the best, and Harvest moon.
