Thread: Should I get and beat Diablo 2 before Diablo 3?

Before Diablo 3 comes out, should I download (or buy) D2 and beat it? I have played and beat Diablo 1 years and years ago.

Diablo doesn't follow much of a concurrent storyline based on the previous title, but I would play the first one on the grounds that it's an awesome hack and slash game.

The graphics are horrible if you are into modern games. I say, don't waste your time.

I agree with xman, the graphics and feel of the game are horrible. If you like playing old ancient games, go for it.

Don't bother. I agree with the others. D2 is outdated for the hardware we have out now. It looks horrible and doesn't support the higher resolutions without modifications.

I don't think you'll need the previous game in order to play DIII

If you get Diablo 2 then you can see which character you like playing with and then choose the character which similar powers in Diablo 3 or you can just play Diablo 3 and test every character out in the game to see which one you are more comfortable with

Theres nothing wrong in getting it....go get it if you have extra money and time....but diablo series doesnt follow much of their storyline...every release and expansion pack is not the same...
