Thread: When you cant beat a section/level of a game, what do you do?

What do you do when you reach a spot that you cannot beat? i just reached one an my health was too low to beat. I usually load a previous save but I had to restart the whole level. What do you usually do?

If you can manually save, I save and then reload everytime.. if it's automatic, then I just start the level all over again.. nothing much you can do about it.

I try to beat it until I get frustrated and then walk about. I'll try again later but if I still can't beat it, I'll start the level again or go back one savepoint.

Simple, I try to use cheat codes
And if there are no cheat codes then I switch to another game by saving the current game

Yea, I use cheat codes to, there are just some games, especially RPG ones that if you missed some weapon or potion you will end up frustrated as all hell because you will keep getting the smack down. Restarting is also good if you are very low on your health or whatever it is you need to get to the next level.

Owwww, booo. Cheat codes? Come on guys... You have to beat the game normal first then you can go back and use cheat codes.

I don't really have this type of problem since I can usually figure my way through any point of the game with just a bit of thought. I do get frustrated from time to time but that is usually what leads me to getting stuck since I never get stuck when I'm calm.

I try again, I try something crazy, I backtrack, try again, keep trying, think it over, try one more time, and then I fire up YouTube and see how someone else does it.

I get a little crazy when a section of a game comes along that I can't beat. It is like something snaps in me and I can't stop playing. It doesn't matter... if there is a funeral, wedding, job interview.... I have to finish it. That is what I love about games, the impossible parts where you have to figure out wtf is going on and how people are suppose to beat it.

After an hour or so, I'll do a search on the Internet and admit defeat.

Yeah, I sometimes search for walkthroughs online, but I try to avoid that
