Thread: What is co op gaming?

Is this another term for mmorpg games or is it team type of strategy game?

hmmmm...I think "CO-OP" pertains to 1 or two players helping each other to attain success in the game...like winning...completing the objectives and task...

Co op gaming is playing campaign mode with another person.

Like Caesary right becoz they all chat in league then launch attacks on other players?

"Co-op" is gamer slang for "cooperative". So co-op gaming is a type of multiplayer where the players work together to obtain a common objective: Destroy the opposing team, get the biggest score, etc. thewizard said it pretty well:

There are different styles of co-op gameplay: Sometimes it's human players vs. AI players ("bots"), or it could be a team of humans vs. another team of humans. Basically it's not your free-for-all lone wolf deathmatch, where it's just you vs. the world. The number of players can vary as well. Some games only let you team up with one other person, whereas others will let you play with tens or even hundreds of real people on your team.

I realized how to sum co-op gaming up into one line:
Co-op gaming is shooting bad things in the face with your friends.

In MMORPG's you will often need to play co-op since a lot of quests require cooperation between players to complete.

Borderlands is a lot of fun with some friends. There's also Left 4 Dead and Killingfloor.

I definitely recommend Borderlands and Left 4 Dead / Left4 Dead 2! (I haven't played Killingfloor).

Co-Op, short for cooperative or cooperation.
Two or more players cooperate with each other to reach a certain goal.

Co-Op is just fun, hahaha.
