That doesn't mean your old card is immediately obsolete though. I just got a GTX 560 and it will run any game I throw at it for the next few years. The rate that better cards come out each year is much faster than the increase of gaming minimum spec requirements. My card already is not the best out there but it doesn't have to be. It can run everything I throw at it just fine.

The only real reason to buy the best cards available is to do enthusiast gaming stuff like triple monitor setups.

I agree with you, you buy a top of the line card today, and I assure you that you are set at least for around 3-4 years more, with all the latest games running smoothly on your rig, and with definitively better graphics than a console could ever give you. A good graphic card could cost around $200-300 in my opinion, and that is 2/3rd of what a console price is. Also, most PC games are cheaper than console games, so that pretty much evens out the price. And nothing can beat a mouse when it comes to precision.

Not only that, a lot of PC games are free. I could get tons of games online to try for free compared to the console which requires you have a solid disc or use a currency system to download the game itself.

Yes that is true. I think the first time I have hated a mouse is my new Razer Abyssus. Currently saving up for a Lachesis or a Mamba mouse from Razer that's bigger and fits better in my long fingered and claw grip.

Steam has amazing discounts on cool games. When's the last time you got an Xbox 360 game for under $20? And, i mean a good one, too. But Steam always has cool deals like that.

That because Steam knows good service while remaining to show off other competition. I could never hate on Valve but then again I am a Valve fangirl :/

What's with those gaming mice? I mean, when playing games, a generic Logitech mouse is just fine.
    Is there any difference?

I think we discussed this long time ago? About mouse DPI and more buttons etc.
