Thread: Is CityVille the most popular Facebook game now?

I've noticed that games like Restaurant City and Farmville are beginning to drop out, and there are a lot more people talking about CityVille on this forum over Farmville and even other games like Runescape.

Even though there are a significant number of threads on this forum talking about people wanting new neighbors, I just looked and noticed that about one in sixteen active Facebook users use CityVille. Do you guys find this surprising.. or is it just me.

I don't find it surprising, i mean it's facebook and simple games. Half of the people on facebook aren't even gamers and once they get over something they just move onto something else like some gamers do.

Well all of my friends are playing it i really like cityville its a great game but its hard to say if its the most popular game facebook.

I just started playing it and I reminds me of Crime City that I played a while back. It feels like the same thing with a different story.

it happens with every facebook game.
it isn't surprising.

It's because Zynga knows how the Facebook game playing population works. People play their games and get really addicted for a long time, and Zynga keeps bringing out new content to keep them satisfied. Once they get bored with one game, Zynga's already rolling out another which is an almost exact replica but with a slightly different flavour to it. Give it a few months and Cutyville will fade away to be replaced by another game.
