CoD 1 isn't the best, but it is really good. For me best is CoD 4 and maybe WaW.

But, I really like heart of the game, which is story. For example, in CoD 5, you are guy named Dimitri Petrenko, and Viktor Reznov is your sargeant. Then there is MW2, and then Black Ops. In black ops, You are Reznov, and there is that guy Dimitri and that is really great. When stories interfere with each other.
Another example is what you said in Morrowind there is literature about Skyrim. 8 years later BOOM TES V: Skyrim. Great.Automated Ad: I will design professional banner or header for $15

I've played them all! The first ones were the most fun if you ask me. COD1 and 2 on PC FTW!

That's what I'm saying mostly cause they were something new and never seen before in terms of gameplay and story.
