Modern Warfare 3 Content Season Set to Hit the Market

Activision is all set to launch a series of regular releases of [B]Modern Warfare 3 DLC[/B], on January 24 in what the publisher is calling a [B]“Content Season”. [/B]
On January 24th, the 9-month season of [B]“Content Drops”[/B] is starting off with two multiplayer maps: [I]Piazza and Liberation[/I] mimic New York’s Central park and seaside Italian gateway destinations respectively. These two multiplayer maps are playable in Survival Mode as well. Liberation features a militarized landscape set for a deadly long-range combat, whereas Piazza is an Italian gateway with tight corners and pathways designed for close range battle.
The content will be available only on [B]Xbox Live[/B] initially. However, it will make its way to other platforms like the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 in the following phase. Beginning this month and running through September, Activision will release 20 regular content drop updates for its Call of Duty Elite members on Xbox Live.
The content will arrive first on Xbox Live for Call of Duty Elite premium users, but gamers can get content from Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection which is expected to hit Xbox Live market in March this year.
Reports are that another Content Drop is expected to come in mid-February and two in March this year. There’s no news regarding what other Content Drops would comprise of. However, users anticipate they would entail a broad variety of features including new multiplayer maps, game modes etc.
Activision has announced that all the details of the [B]Modern Warfare 3 Content Season of Call of Duty Elite[/B] and [B]Modern warfare 3 Content Collection[/B] will be shared formally throughout the year along with celebrations of each Content Drop launch.
Modern Activision has currently three separate studios working to develop add on content for Modern Warfare 3 namely, Sledgehammer, Infinity Ward and Raven Software.
