---Other tips & tricks---

Welcome to part 4- A small comparisation of everything I've told you before and I have some addition, tripps and tricks in this part of the guide.

First of all, the heat issue: Make sure that the notebook you're intending to buy has got a good fan that can get out all of the heat when the notebook is running on full power. Many 15“ have the problem that they overheat quite fast (also resulting in the bottom getting damn hot) so that it either brings up a bluescreen or heats your keyboard up that much that you can not use it anylonger.

In order to improve the battery runtime, either buy a 2nd or a better battery coming with the notebook. Try to watch for reviews stating the runtime of the included battery and if you own the laptop, try to reduce the screen lightning if you're in a dark room and if you don't need a bright screen – this leads me over to the next issue.

The display: If you want to have a Full-HD display in a 15“ laptop, that's no problem, but you should have a careful look at the size of the icons and the font. They're pretty small when you have a 1920 * 1080 display at 15“. Also, if you're looking forward to also use the notebook for office jobs, try to go for a matt/non-glare display. Otherwise you might have trouble using the notebook either outside or in bright rooms. Glare displays are only useful if the display either is very, very bright or if you're looking forward to edit pictures.

And last but not least, think of the weight. I won't buy a 3kg, 17“ notebook for working at school simply because it's being too heavy if I carry it around with me all day. I(will be using) use a 12“ tablet-PC with a non-glare display, weighting 1.6kg. My gaming laptop that I will soon be buying can weight anything under 3.5kg, because I usually don't carry it all day.

And now least and last, make a comparization between laptop models, read reviews et cetera! If there's a point that you dislike with the laptop and the point is important to you(eg the CPU or the graphics card is too bad to play your favorite game), then don't hesitate to either wait a few months or to invest a little more money, getting you a laptop – And by the way: Don't try to play on a MacBook. You can play on them, but usually you can get ways more hardware for the price!

I hope I was able to give you a small glance into the current laptop-world and especially what things you need for gaming purposes. And remember. Gaming isn't everything – Watch out for your real life and make sure you still succeed in it!

Before I forget it: If you're looking forward to buy a i7 notebook at the moment(January 2k11), then you might want to wait for the new notebook i7-series offering much more power for the same price!

Why buy gaming laptops when you can buy a nice gaming desktop with better video card and huge fans.
But mobility needs to sacrifice some performance or money.

I have my console a PS3 but still i think that i can not carry it with my self so a gaming laptop is a good option for games during a trip or during traveling hours enjoy games anywhere.

Gaming laptops are great, cause they offer mobility but I think they are way more expensive than getting a quality gaming desktop!
